Mark 11:25
Forgiveness and reconciliation aren't the same thing. DeWayne Dunko on Mark 11:25 and three things to know about forgiving.

Jesus' wording in Mark 11:25 is sweeping: if you hold anything against anyone, forgive. That covers believers and unbelievers, family, coworkers, bosses, and the barista who forgot the whipped cream.
First, it works both ways. If you're the one who did the wrong, asking forgiveness frees your heart just as much. Second, this isn't about losing salvation. Forgiveness from Christ was settled at the cross. Holding grudges stunts your growth and your prayer life. Third, forgiveness is not trust. You can forgive completely and still decide someone shouldn't have access to your life.
One participant asked how many chances to give someone who keeps breaking agreed boundaries. DeWayne's answer: always forgive, but reconciliation is a separate question. Pray for discernment, and if needed, love from a distance. Another participant added that a relationship that keeps pulling you to dim your light is a sign something has to change.
