One short verse

"Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went." To understand it, you need the story around it. Stephen had just been stoned, the first Christian martyr. Saul was dragging believers to prison. The church had stayed comfortable in Jerusalem for years, despite Jesus' command to go further.

Scattered like seed

Luke's word for "scattered" comes from farming. It's what you do with seed. God took a crisis and turned it into a planting season. Philip, who had been assigned to hand out food, ended up preaching in Samaria.

Uncomfortable is where growth is

Moses grew when he was uncomfortable. Muscle grows when you lift something heavy. One participant said we often need a push to discover gifts we didn't know we had. You don't need to know the Greek or list all 66 books. You need your story.
